Psychedelic elegance was the theme at Dries Van Noten AW12 show in Paris.
The Belgian designer came up with the concept to of blending that Frank Zappa silliness with the poetic elegance of poets such as Oscar Wilde.
Aesthetically split in two; the look of the first show was composed by military oversized wool coats, double-collared white shirts and suits with a late 60s cut.
The second look was a refreshing wakening to what the designer can challenge and offer. The show was staged with background messages like ‘Exactly Like Poets’ and presented coats, jackets and trousers sporting the murals and calligraphy of Dutch artists Gijs Frieling and Job Wouters. Irreverence that astonished the audience and kept the fire alive.
